About the Owner

William Tonsgard III is the founder and owner of Tideline Construction, LLC, bringing years of experience in construction, heavy equipment operation, and project management. Before establishing Tideline, Will worked as a shareholder and employee at Channel Construction, Inc., where he developed a diverse skill set in surface mining, aggregate production, road building, blasting, metal recycling, and demolition.
Will is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Reconnaissance Marine with 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, Detachment Hawaii. This military background instilled a strong sense of leadership, discipline, and the ability to perform in high-pressure environments, as well as outside-the-box problem solving. These qualities have been instrumental in the success of Tideline Construction.

Tideline is SBA certified as SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business) and can be found on the SBA's official directory.

Key Projects

Oliver Inlet SMP Tram Repair

  • Scope: Tram repair and upgrades, including 500’ aluminum walkway, new terminal, and signage.

  • Status: Completed August 2024

  • Customer: State of Alaska, DNR

 

Angoon Quarry Development

  • Scope: Developed quarry, producing over 20,000CY of crushed products, including D1, 4” minus, and 6” minus.

  • Status: Completed May 2024

  • Customer: Kootznoowoo, Sealaska

THRHA – Crow Hill Site Work

  • Scope: Mass excavation, fill, traffic control, SWPPP management, and compaction for future housing.

  • Status: Completed May 2024

  • Customer: Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority (THRHA)

NOAA TSMRI Paving

  • Scope: Asphalt patching and paving for NOAA Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute.

  • Expected Completion: 10/13/2023

  • Customer: NOAA

Juneau Eagle Beach SRA Riverbank Stabilization

  • Scope: Produced and placed riprap to reinforce the failing slope at Eagle Beach State Park.

  • Status: Completed September 2023

  • HTC Camp Maher Site Work: Excavation and backfilling for a new 47-man camp, completed March 2023.

  • OVK Rock Crushing: Produced 8,000CY of various crushed rock products for the Organized Village of Kasaan, completed December 2022.

  • Greens Creek Emergency Road Repair: Shot rock supply for Hecla Greens Creek Mine road repair after landslide damage, completed September 2022.

  • 8 Fathom Bridge Repair: Removal and installation of a modular bridge, stream bank reinforcement, completed July 2022.

  • Sitka Rock Crushing: Produced multiple crushed rock products for Marble Construction, completed June 2022.

  • Glacier Bay E1: Supplied 3,500 tons of E1 material for Glacier Bay National Park, completed April 2022.

  • Kensington Waste Crushing: Provided crushing and hauling of waste rock for re-use in various projects, completed November 2021.

  • Gustavus Airport Resurfacing Project: Supplied aggregate materials for the airport resurfacing project, completed August 2021.
